Frequently Asked Questions

I am an out-of-network provider, which means that I do not bill insurance companies for my services. I provide monthly superbills that you can use to submit to your insurance for a possible partial reimbursement.
You are responsible for contacting your insurance company to determine if you have out-of-network benefits and what they are, and for submitting claims.
Please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that your insurance will reimburse for my services, and therefore, reimbursement should not be considered a financial necessity to participate in services with me.
Additionally, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must provide patients who aren’t using insurance, an estimate of the expected health care costs. You will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate prior to your intake appointment.
For questions or or more information about your rights for a Good Faith Estimate, please visit cms.gov/nosurprises.

Sessions occur weekly or biweekly depending on the client’s needs. Each session is 50-55 minutes. The duration of therapy depends on the individual’s goals and their path toward their goals whether it be moving on after skills are learned or choosing to dive deeper into the complexities of this becoming.

The first step is to request a free 20 minute consultation call so I can have a better understanding of your needs, answer your questions and make sure I am a good fit for you. You can request your consultation by completing the secure contact form or by calling me at (206) 299-1828. I will get back to you within 24 hours, except on weekends.
If we’re a good fit, we will get you scheduled for your intake appointment. If I’m not the right fit for you, I will provide you with referrals to other providers that may be a better fit for your situation.

Sessions occur either weekly or biweekly for 50-55 minutes. Clients will have the opportunity to reflect on the time since the last session, bring up any items or topics they would like to focus or receive support on. If there is nothing in particular that the Client wants to address, we will utilize sessions to learn skills and address goals. I use talk therapy, evidence-based modalities, games, and interactive activities to meet client needs.

No. Once you turn 13, you must provide written consent for providers to have contact with parents. However, if safety is a concern, I must tell your parents of the safety risk regardless of if you provide permission or not. I will always tell you before I contact your parents and give you the option to be a part of the conversation.
